Handwriting Kanji de 5 Challenge: Clearing Hell Mode with a Pen Tablet

The handwriting version of Kanji de 5 is played live with a pen tablet by members of Nice Guy Game, who set strict conditions — shortest time limit, no hints, and no mistakes — in an attempt to unlock and clear the hardest setting, known as Real Hell Mode. The session moves through multiple stages and levels, with questions drawn from a wide range of vocabulary.

■ Gameplay Setup and Rules
- Handwriting input via pen tablet, shortest time limit, no hints, zero-mistake goal
- Stage clear and level-up progression, with retry and time-extension items
■ Kanji and Vocabulary Covered
- Everyday words, place names, classical Japanese readings, and Okurigana
- Science, medical, and exam-prep terminology, plus Joyo and non-Joyo (Level 1) kanji
- Stroke-count increases, unusual readings, and homophone confusion as difficulty rises
■ Pen Tablet Experience
- First-time users adapting to cursor position, display lag, and eraser mode
- Handwriting recognition behavior and judgment of connected or loose strokes

This is suited to learners of Japanese who read kanji but rarely write them by hand, as well as viewers interested in challenge-style game playthroughs. Watching alongside lets you gauge your own recall against the questions, and shows how pen tablet practice differs from keyboard input. Consider trying the game or practicing handwriting yourself after watching.
