Cornell Sit-In and Investigations Into Jane Doe’s Allegations

A report from Cornell University examines a student sit-in supporting Jane Doe, who alleges sexual assault by fraternity members, and the campus response. It outlines the protest’s goals, the two investigations underway, and reporting access on campus.

- Student protest: a seven-hour sit-in and an economic blackout
- Investigations: the New York Attorney General’s criminal inquiry and an independent review of Cornell’s handling of the case
- Campus reporting: journalists’ access to the protest and challenges obtaining information from campus police

For viewers following the case or college responses to sexual-assault allegations, this report provides a concise overview of the issues described and the perspectives of students at the protest. Follow official updates and distinguish allegations from investigative findings; the report does not provide final conclusions.
